the Leighton family

I truly love being able to tell a story through my images.  That’s my goal for each session I’m honored to do.  There’s nothing better than to follow a family around and capture them laughing, playing and just ‘being’ together and that’s what I had the privilege of doing on this cold, December day.  It was a tree trimming, hot cocoa drinking, popcorn stringing, advent calendar eating, good time.  This family is as sweet as they are cute, and I’m so thankful they let me come into their beautiful home and play.

The furber family

Here is another family who is near and dear to my heart; Jenn, my right hand girl at weddings, and her precious family.  This was such a fun session full of lots and lots of cool, vintage things…annnd not to mention there was a canoe involved with two love birds wrapped in lights.  Yeah, super great.  The three little ladies, Betty, Lucy and Olive, get an A in my book, especially considering it was in the 30’s the day of the shoot.  It was cold.  Real cold.  I’m so thankful that I have such amazing people to photograph.  It makes my job so awesome.  Here’s some of my favorites from our sweet, little, vintage camping day.

the horn family

This is one of my most favorite families to photograph.  It’s hard to believe I first started photographing them when Kaden was just weeks old and now (today) he’s 3!!  I love how I know with Jen, who just so happens to be a master stylist, I can expect the most lovely of things.   And on this November day(s 😉 ) she didn’t disappoint.  I’m most definitely in my happy place when I’m surrounded by lace, doilies, donuts, big balloons, sparklers and one of the nicest families you’ll ever meet.  Thank you, Horn family, for continually letting me capture your sweet, sweet selves.

a whole lot of pretty ladies

All this dreary, gray weather has made me miss the sunshine something fierce.  Then I remembered I had taken a lot of pretty photos when the sun was shining that I hadn’t shared yet.  Here’s some favorites of the beautiful 2013 seniors I had the privilege of photographing.
